Kyle Jameson has joined the Derry Fire Department in October of 2005. Before working in Derry, he worked the Fire Service at North Hampton, Seabrook, and Laconia. His time in Local 4392 was full of laughter, and he never gave us a dull moment. He was a firefighters firefighter. Skilled, Passionate, and Humble is how so many recall his time spent with Derry Fire.
Kyle left Local 4392 and Derry Fire in 2012 to take a position in the Seacoast Town of Hampton, IAFF Local 2664, where he continued to serve the public. He married his sweetheart Christine and they soon became pregnant with their first child, Liam.
Kyle was diagnosed with T-PLL (T Cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia) in April of 2015. He and his wife Christine were very open and public about Kyle's battle with Cancer. They often would attend fundraisers and even filmed videos to raise awareness for this job-related disease.
His treatment brought him to many of the world's best Medical Facilities. Kyle's fight was a tough one. Growing support online in the Facebook Group, Team Jameson, rallied around Kyle as he continued to fight.
On May 16th, 2016, Kyle lost his battle with cancer. The news of his passing struck the hearts of thousands. The arrangements for his passing drew those paying their respect from all over the country. He truly impacted the hearts and lives of so many people. Kyle Jameson's name is listed on the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Denver Colorado
We remember and honor Kyle Jameson, DFD 103, and his portrait is engraved on our Aerial, DFD LADDER 4, his old bunker gear is on display at our Hampstead road station.
